Think of the organization's presence on social media as if it were a separate being. LEAF is now it's own being, it's own personality. When posting on socials, be sure to consider the brand's voice and tone.

BRAND VOICE is the overall piece of communication used with the audience. If it is strong enough, many audiences would be able to associate it the brand before seeing the logo.

BRAND TONE depends on the situation. It's used to inflect different levels of empathy and relatability in each moment of interaction with the audience.

When should LEAF get involved on Social Media? 

  • Mentions: Reply to posts that LEAF is tagged in,  answer questions or acknowledge shoutouts

  • Holidays: "universal" holidays that can be made relevant to LEAF such as winter holiday, Thanksgiving, New Years

  • "National" Days: that are relevant to LEAF (ex: National Veggie Day)
